Since IBM is dropping support for Power 8 systems now, I am wondering, how
does that affect open source?

Will we still be able to use YUM/etc to keep up to date on that stuff?

Another thought (and probably shows ignorance)... would there be any way to
load the open source on a V5R4 system?

I guess I don't know what's required hardware/OS wise for this.
