Okay, last one I hope... for now anyway....

I just downloaded the most recent Python, 3.10.0.

Python 3.10.0 (tags/v3.10.0:b494f59, Oct  4 2021, 19:00:18) [MSC v.1929 64 bit (AMD64)] on win32

But there lingers in the Start menu a previous version, 3.9 from a long time agone...

I'd like to delete that old one as a get going. What's the best way to do that?

(I can't even remember when I last used Windows to uninstall something)

Thanks Jack,

So you're talking about setting up to work with Python on my PC, but
over an IFS directory that resides remotely in the IBM i IFS.

You'd need Python in both places, typically.

- Python remotely to run the stuff you right for IBM i on the IBM i
- Python locally because tools you'll use like Spyder the editor and
Black the code formatter are Python applications

I was thinking of getting used to Python on my local PC, and then
working with the IFS. I would get more comfortable with doing Python
stuff first, but that sounds like it's simple enough to do.

I think it's easy enough on either platform. You can't go wrong here.

Long run, at some point if I got good enough, I'd do a how-to
presentation for the group.

Best of luck, you're clearly on the right path.
