Well, I guess I don't know where else I would have run those commands. No
specifics in your first post. :) I am running windows 10 as well. Putty
didn't work either.. so I'm not sure what else I could have used.

AH ... mystery solved.
You can't do interactive SSH sessions from QSH. No terminal control that
SSH understands.
If you have your public key set up on the target system you can do
something like *ssh me@xxxxxxx "rm -rf somefile.txt"* and ssh will log in,
execute the command, and log off, but no interactive session possible in
QSH.
