Had a nice chat with Mike Pavlak and he recommended that I remove Python 2
from my system since I have both 2 and 3 installed, and just use 3.

I see that I have these installed:

python2

2.7.17-0

@ibm

python2-iniparse

0.4-2

@ibm

python2-pycurl

7.43.0-4

@ibm

python2-rpm

4.13.0.1-18

@ibm

python2-urlgrabber

3.10.2-3

@ibm

python3

3.6.10-2

@ibm

python3-ibm_db

2.0.5.12-0

@ibm

python3-itoolkit

1.6.1-1

@ibm

python3-pip

9.0.1-3

@ibm

python3-setuptools

36.0.1-3

@ibm

python3-six

1.10.0-1

@ibm

python3-wheel

0.29.0-3

@ibm

When I select any of the python2 items and press remove, I receive this:

Setting up Remove Process

Resolving Dependencies

--> Running transaction check

---> Package python2-urlgrabber.noarch 0:3.10.2-3 will be erased

--> Processing Dependency: python2-urlgrabber for package:
yum-3.4.3-18.noarch

--> Running transaction check

---> Package yum.noarch 0:3.4.3-18 will be erased

--> Processing Dependency: yum for package: yum-utils-1.1.31-6.noarch

--> Running transaction check

---> Package yum-utils.noarch 0:1.1.31-6 will be erased

--> Finished Dependency Resolution

Error: Trying to remove "yum", which is protected

So, my question is this - how can I remove the Python2 items from my system?
Is there another way, outside of ACS, that may be succeed?

Thanks,

Steve Meisinger
