Unless you actually say what a "real shell" is or provide a link for further reading, that comment is just snark.

As far as I'm concerned, you can only get a "real shell" if you use SSH to log in. If you're not using SSH, then personally, I would just stick with Qshell.

I don't know if you read the information you linked to. It says to use Qshell for batch. Which is precisely what OP did.
