I'd guess you're not interested in running the CNTLM proxy itself on the
IBM i. So, you MAY only need these commands run on IBM i:
npm config set proxy http://proxy_hostname:port
npm config set https-proxy http://proxy_hostname:port
npm config set registry http://registry.npmjs.org/

I'm not a proxy expert, so there might still be some big missing piece.
Hopefully someone with experience can chime in.
Good luck!

Sent by: "OpenSource" <opensource-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

I'm in the process of starting the roll-out of Node.js in our
environment and our network team has suggested CNTLM to act as a
proxy to get through our firewall. Has anyone successfully used
CNTLM? Or any alternatives on IBM i?
I found a project on Sourceforge, but from what I can tell, we don't
have the components needed to build it. I'm still going through it
to see if I can piece everything together, but thought I'd ask here
before spending too much time on it.

Thanks,
Doug
