If it's on IBMi, can't you do a Brad-Bot to hit a server URL and/or check

subject: [IBMiOSS] Monitoring Nodejs servers remotely...

Here's a scenario.. I think I know the answer, but I want to make sure.

Let's say I am helping a client and putting together nodejs applications
for them. I have found and love pm2 to keep things running, logging, etc.

But, is there any way to monitor without needed to be on through their
VPN? like sending the server a ping of some sort and having it return info?

Or if it goes down hard, errors etc have it let me know? Maybe call a
program (CL, RPG, etc) or something else? Send a text, email, etc.

Maybe what I'm asking for is best practices for nodejs server
monitoring/catching/notifying.

We should assume the client has no experience with PASE or node and will
rely on a 3rd party to do most of the heavy lifting.

There just seems like so much that can go wrong. I'm used the the apache
server and RPG more. With pm2 things are better, but I still don't trust
it as much. :) If that makes any sense.
