I can't help with Renaissance but I am familiar with jqGrid (I use it in quite a few places). I'll take a crack at whatever your issues are on the jqGrid side....

I am using the Renaissance Framework, and having a difficult time with jqGrid. My issues are centered around the lack of knowledge about how things flow since it uses Ajax to load the grid. Does anyone here have a good enough knowledge of Renaissance and the jqGrid specifically to help me with the flow of requests and responses through the system?
