The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

So, downloaded the latest 5733OPS from ESS and took the install option

I try to think of it as paperwork you need to fill out to get to the
real stuff.
You really don't*know* if anything besides the
"placeholder" has actually installed.
There are two ways:
Case in point, Python 2.7 is
still MIA. Installed from media. Applied PTF's and I don't see any
errors yet I don't see any evidence of Python 2.
Trying the option in PASE (call qp2term) is one way. You need to be
sure that your PATH has an entry that will find the option though. My
PATH has /QOpenSys/usr/bin and that's where Python2 is.
The other way is to do a DSPPTF. This one hurts because the
Developerworks wiki doesn't document what PTF goes with which 'option'.
I put a 7.2 list in the wiki:
http://wiki.midrange.com/index.php/5733-OPS
Also, do a DSPPTFAPYI to make sure everything is applied. I had to
ENDSBS QHTTPSVR
call qsysdir/qinavmnsrv *STOP
and re-apply the group because ending the HTTP subsystem was a prereq of
at least one of the PTFs.
