Gmane.org primarily offers a NNTP (internet news reader) interface that allows you to view individual messages but without the email traffic.

Personally, I would prefer that they not publish the lists to the web ... but it's the price that's paid for the service.

I tried using the Mailman / NNTP integration, but there were problems that I didn't want to deal with.
