True on the topic choice. I had in my mind that technical was higher level languages.

Guessing it's there so you can do a RTVSYSVAL and know if you're in a special IPL, or if your current job is running at the system console or not.

BTW, this whole thread is probably inappropriate for midrange-nontech. After all, it is rather technical, don't you think?
