Yeah, I checked system value QCONSOLE.
That value is DISPLAY only.

Cause . . . . . : The system value specified is one that cannot be changed.
Guessing it's there so you can do a RTVSYSVAL and know if you're in a special IPL, or if your current job is running at the system console or not.
BTW, this whole thread is probably inappropriate for midrange-nontech. After all, it is rather technical, don't you think?
