In all the machines I've had, I never had to replace a component because the tech got so old.
The link is the only place I found it for less than 300 and they are refunding my money ( so they say ) because they can't get it for that price.

What machine you're hooking it to isn't as much as an indicator of age as
the tape drive itself. I found a sales flyer for that drive copyrighted
2003, which makes it half again as old as you thought it was.
Sticking with an old media drive because you have the media, or the pain
involved with the system migration, can bite you.
Those cartridges are incredibly slow compared to modern media and hold
only a small fraction. Move on.

It appears the cleaning cartridge for my SLR60 drive on my 9407-515 is no longer in production and the prices
are now $300 - $500 dollars. Does that sound like a normal situation for an 8 year old machine?
