If it's anything like the Savin (Ricoh) machines, there is a hidden
setting on the copier itself to change the default from color to black &
white. We had to get a service tech to change ours, then printing was
great. Other than that, you might try a MFRTYPMDL that isn't for a color
model; it's always possible the system is sending color information, but I
suspect my first answer is better.

Subject: Xerox WorkCenter 7545 with accounting codes on
A client has just swapped out their copier for a Xerox WorkCenter 7545.
This is a color copier/printer and then have turned on account codes to
prevent most people from printing color. Their Power720 running 7.1 prints
just fine via RemoteOutq but fails to print via PJL or SNMP complaining
about improper accounting code.
They ( and I ) would really prefer to use either PJL or SNMP device cfg
verses RemoteOutq. Anyone know how to get IBM i to print to this beast
with accounting codes enabled?
