I installed V3R1M0 of OS/400 on a WMX system in Chicago long ago, so at least they had an AS/400 back then.

So since the article says nothing about which "computer system", does the quoted text intend to imply that SAP was [apparently not properly, at least not as expected functionally,] running on IBM i operating system 6.1 installed on a Power Systems server?

Nothing like a combination of a reasonably priced software code base, built for a rock-solid proven reliable and security-conscious IBM midrange system like the latest in this superior line, brand-spankin' new Power Server with the brand-spankin' new IBM i 6.1 operating system to run on it!
