Good News Everybody!

A new search engine is coming soon.

As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

No and basically Yes respectively. While ideally you'd document each
PTF, we have found it sufficient to say "all group PTFs for installed
products as of 1/16/2008".

Every MS patch should correspond to a knowledge base article. Also,
almost all MS patches are available as separate downloads (linked from
the KB) that can be installed separately from Windows/Microsoft Update.
As I mentioned MS has an update process call SUS (Software Update
Service or something) where you can have a server pull the updates from
MS once, preserving bandwidth, then pushing the updates out to the
workstations/servers.
