No offense intended. I hope I didn't insult you. I was just trying to make a joke. Personally, I favor daylight savings time. I like to be able to leave work at 5:00 pm on a June afternoon and go straight to the lake (which is 5 minutes from my house) and spend several hours riding my SkySki. At our latitude here in Austin, on June 21 this year sunset occurs at 8:36 PM CDT, and I can legally ride my water toys until 30 minutes past sunset. In Indiana on June 21 your day is approximately 1/2 hour longer than mine anyway, and your sunset occurs at around 8:15 PM EST, so I can see why you prefer not to use daylight savings time.
