If you do the DSPLIB to a print out, it will show the object size total at the bottom of the listing. DSPLIBD does not provide this and display library does not provide the total. Is there a command that provides this info? Also I am going to copy the library for backup purposes but I want to see if there's enough disk space. What command will give me this information? Thanks! Mark, User Space is just a chunk of storage, mostly used in conjunction with API's. You might look for the System API Programming Manual SC41-5800-00 in chapter 2 is a scetion on User Spaces. Hope this helps. -- Jim LowAry >>> markvilla@knology.net 02/05/03 08:37AM >>> I understand just about everything I would want to know about the AS/400 except a few things. One of them is user spaces. Can someone point me to the doc? My questions are? Why do I want one? How do I know if I am using one? What products use the technique, if it is optional? Does it get backed up? Is it like QTEMP? Is it a programming thing, a queuing thing, or a system thing?
