That's a good point, Nathan. But it doesn't change the fact that iSeries News (formerly News/400) was in fact used by application providers as an advertising vehicle. Having been a subscriber since the early nineties, I was able to flip through my library of back issues and find the following information: Year #Of Ads (Application only) ------ ---------------------------- 2002 3 1999 6 1997 9 1995 13 1993 17 Of course, that could mean a number of things: - advertisers decided News/400 was not an effective advertising vehicle. - News/400 reduced sales staff, and thereby ad sales. - etc... But then that wouldn't explain the drop in RPG employment listings throughout the market. As they say, where there's smoke - there's fire. Unfortunately, there aren't enough casinos and credit unions to grow the market. John Taylor
