Citizen Technology Exploration pilot program

I think I vaguely recall a few of you commenting on the iSeries Nation
Citizen Technology Exploration pilot program .. someone mentioned to me that
the $7000 entry-level iSeries system for home use hs too many restrictions
on its usage...that it's a nice configuration, but has too many barriers.
Has anyone tried it out--that can either vouch for that theory or state
otherwise? I'm afraid I deleted the string that related to this topic. I'm
sure some good comments were in there...
