I'm looking out the window at work here in SF. It's raining and the temperature is around 50. I live about 30 miles from SF, one range of hills from the bay and have to scrape frost off my car windows many winter mornings. The two tallest hills near my house (2-3000 ft) often have snow on them when it's cold and rainy at sea level. Even so, it's better than places that have real seasons, particularly winter. SF bicycle messengers seem to be able to deal with the hills--some better than some cars. > -----Original Message----- > From: David.X.Kahn@gsk.com [mailto:David.X.Kahn@gsk.com] > Sent: Thursday, December 20, 2001 1:49 AM > To: midrange-nontech@midrange.com > Subject: RE: Dean Kamen's i-series > > > Martin wrote: > > > That's California, isn't it? ;-) > > > > Well, OK, apart from the "never gets hot" bit. > > But by all accounts (I've never been there) it > > doesn't change much. > > Martin, you've been watching too much Baywatch again. > Remember that Mark > Twain once remarked that the coldest winter he ever spent was > a summer in > San Francisco.
