Tom, Ya... After I calmed down and went to the PDF manuals I'd downloaded, I saw I was corn-fusin the TAATOOLS command with IBM's QRCVDTAQ... But I'm not done with the InfoCenter, just yet... I can write a short program in the time it takes the InfoCenter page to load... It may just be me, but if I want to see a V4R4 API, how do I get to that...? On the search of QRCVDTAQ, comm crap came up first, followed by API examples, QSNDDTAQ, and somewhere towards the middle of the search results... ta da...! the QRCVDTAQ API... Whatever happened to the concept of Bookshelves...? Didn't meet the same criteria M$ appears to use... If it doesn't increase market share, it doesn't get done... It still appears to me that the focus of the InfoCenter has been, from the beginning, and still is: 1) How do we force everyone to use it 2) How do we transfer the documents from BookManager, so everyone HAS to use InfoCenter 3) How do we provide something useful for Unix folks 4) How do we improve InfoCenter and get some of the complaints off our back 5) : 6) : ?) How do we provide something as good as BookManager I s'pose I should be thankful that InfoCenter is better than lookin up in the manuals, like we did decades ago... But then, the manuals never "went down" either.. so... jt | -----Original Message----- | From: midrange-nontech-admin@midrange.com | [mailto:midrange-nontech-admin@midrange.com]On Behalf Of | thomas@inorbit.com | Sent: Sunday, December 02, 2001 4:57 AM | To: midrange-nontech@midrange.com | Subject: Re: Another rant on InfoCenter | Importance: High | | | On Fri, 30 November 2001, "jt" wrote: | | > ...
