Just in case IBM's floating another name-change idea (and since I'm not
permitted to contact any of their Executives"...:

A year ago I suggested the name B/52e, rather than iSeries. IIRC, I
commented something like it may be to "jingoistic"... Unfortunately, that's
no longer the case.

But since then, I came up with a (IMHO) better name for the 38/400/iSeries
family: "I/38".

How does that grab y'all...? Sort of brings things full-circle, don't ya
thin'...? (Does to me anyway.) Still doubt if IBM would ever accept a name
proposed by a customer, but what the hey... I saved a few domain names for
them and the iNation, just in case.

BTW, whatever the computer is called, it REALLY *SHOULD* run CPF, like it
always HAS: "Central Processor Foundation" (IMHO).

'Course, just 'cause my Wife's taking a marketing course, doesn't make me
any marketing maven...;=)

iSeries NEWS_Wire Daily :

Editor's Note: Starting tomorrow, the name of this newsletter will change
back to NEWS Wire Daily. We regret any confusion this may cause.

===> Leif's Note: It seems that the "magic" assumed to be
associated with iSeries is wearing off a bit...
