I don't blame them, I mean jeeze, Ontario is in the U.S. You wouldn't have
to cross the border going from SoCal to Vt.!

We US citizens are pretty ignorant sometimes, eh?

the one about Ontario becoming part of the U.S.

splitting off from Canada: Maybe we can pick up Niagra Falls outright...!
(ROFLMAO... Whew...!)

My wife thinks Quebec is IN Ontario, and I have no idea what province Niagra
Falls is in...)

PS Dave Winer has a negative reaction to the West Wing episode, but I since
I don't have time to watch, I'm not getting it... I thought this week's
show WAS the premier...? (www.scripting.com for 10/4/01)

I agree with a lot, but not all, of Mr. Winer's views. For example, his
"One year ago today" (10/4/00):

OS Opinion: The failure of Linux. "Some software houses have been made to
feel guilty about charging for their wares, as if their talent and effort
are somehow less important than the will of the community. I think most
experienced programmers would agree that it is not only silly but morally
wrong to deny someone a fair price for a good product, and yet that is all
too often what the Linux hordes do to smaller software companies."
