Chuck,

What is your source for this?

Is it Ameritech or all carriers?

You are on my list of "highly reliable" posters, but this is a rather
sweeping statement!

And I have sent an email to my phone provider (McLeod) asking for
confirmation/denial.

Our phones have sure been busy this morning (that's a good thing)...but
much of the traffic is direct dial (non-800) so probably doesn't fall
into what you are saying. And I have made one 800 call this morning
with no problem...but that doesn't prove anything.

Subject: Off Topic - HUGE problem with 800 #'s

Hi Folks,

This might be old news to some and I should have sent this hours ago,
but there is a nation-wide (US) problem with 800 #'s not working "all
circuits are busy" (although some do ?).

Just a heads up,

Chuck
