Which NPR station have you listened to?  Are you confusing them with
Pacifica before the purges of the last few years? Now that was inflammatory.

NPR in the SF Bay Area (2 stations) is dull and dependable.  Their national
news programs are about the only news programs on radio or tv that don't
insult your intelligence, even if they sometimes lack pizazz.
