is the ftp originated from the IBM i or from a pc or other server?
may need to turn on verbose logging in the ftp script
also, if replacing records in a database file, make sure the max records
for that file is big enough
from dspfd..
Member size SIZE
Initial number of records . . . . . . . . : 10000
Increment number of records . . . . . . . : 1000
Maximum number of increments . . . . . . : 1000
Record capacity . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 1010000

(and i've moved much larger files than yours on and off the system)

can you show us the cryptic message, and the ftp script?

To the best of my knowledge there is no size limit. I'm pretty certain we
have FTP'd files far larger than yours,

Have you checked the logs to detemine the underlying cause of the failure?

Where do I look for this?
I have a CSV file, size 377 MB, and when I ran FTP to upload it to the
IBM i, it quit. I assume it's a sie limit.

Can somebody tell me the standard size limit, and what the solution is
to get it done?
