According to my multiple sources, VSCode is the future direction of IBM’s efforts. RDI is not. My own opinion is RDI now a “strategic product” which in IBM terms means it’s dead, only living out the terms of existing contracts etc. Those that have been around IBM long enough know that designation is not healthy for long term support.

My understanding of BOB is they used VSCode as the conduit and development platform for the new product. I run BOB side by side with VSCode. BOB understands all the connections etc. that I have in VSCode.

As to which list, since RDI is destined to be an orphan soon just as WDSC turned into one, I suggest the WDSC list.

My thoughts only.

Is this the list for such discussions? Or the WDSC list? Or is WDSC
pretty much just for RDi?

What I am wondering about is if IBM Bob is not an add on to VSCode but
basically an integrated package including VSCode is if the VSCode may lag
behind. Compare this to RDi and how current it stays with levels of
Eclipse.

Not an original thought on my part. Someone else asked me, so inquiring
minds want to know.
