Bob,
Let me break down assume, ass/u/me.

Google "what ptf for ibm i 7.3 removes the license requirement for 5770xw1"
and it will return
For IBM i 7.3, the PTF that removes the license requirement for 5770-XW1
(IBM i Access Family) and associated license checking is SI83646.
IT Jungle
Key Information regarding 5770-XW1 license removal:
PTF Number: SI83646 (for IBM i 7.3).
Release Date: These PTFs were released around October 24, 2023, as part of
IBM's portfolio simplification.
Effect: Once this PTF is applied, the license checking function for
5770-XW1 stops, meaning it no longer requires license keys to be applied.
Note on Errors: The original PTF (SI83646) was marked in error and replaced
by subsequent fixes, such as SJ02851. It is recommended to apply the latest
license management PTFs to avoid potential issues with older versions of
Client Access software.
After applying the PTF, the 5770-XW1 product may no longer appear in the
WRKLICINF command, which is expected behavior.

FYI, we are still at v7r3m0.
I assume this level still needs a key because I am able to connect using a
trial version of Mochasoft N5250.

Thanks for the input.

Greetings, Just an FYI. there are no 'keys' for ACS needed any more these
days. That requirement was removed a couple of years ago now. So, latest
OS levels, and Latest ACS. It's part of the operating system now.

Thanks Tim
