Morning all.
All of the responses to James question are exactly what I expected to see.
May I add another option .....
If you have the latest version of the QMGTOOLKIT installed (Build V2026-02-25), there are new options on it for this. As most if not all of you know, the MG TOOLKIT is 1 of the IBM i's best free software.
- addlible qmgtools
- go mg
- option 9: misc tools
- option 13: qmgtools commands
Page down. Options 19-22 are new in this build.
Option 21. CSVTODB2 - Convert CSV to DB2 File.
MISC_CMD QMGTOOLS Commands
Select one of the following:
15. CPYSAV2IFS - copy a save file to IFS
16. RUNFTPSCR - creates and runs an FTP script
17. ZIPDIR - zip a directory
18. ZIPFILE - zip a file
19. PRTJOBLOGS - Print Joblogs to IFS
20. CRTSQLFILE - CREATE CSV FILE FROM SQL
21. CSVTODB2 - Convert CSV to DB2 File
22. CPYSRC2IFS - Copy Source Physical File to IFS
The MGTOOLKIT can be found on my blog - https://ibmireference.blogspot.com.
Navigate to the "Helpful Tips by Category" page.
Links to the MGTOOLKIT are listed.

I've got this honking big XLS spreadsheet (over 20k rows), and I need to replicate it as a database file. Can anybody suggest a "path of least resistance" for this?
I have a vague recollection of doing something like this before, but I don't recall how. Maybe something involving CPYFRMSTMF?
