SSH error -- MIDRANGE-L

I had to regen my SSH keys and VS Code for I is connecting. When I try to
connect via SSH on my mac or from IBM iACS menu I receive the following
error:

$'\323\311\302\327\301\343\310~[\323\311\302\327\301\343\310za\330\326\227\205\225\342\250\242a\202\211\225^\r%':
command not found

anyone seen this before? Thanks
