I have that same CVE on my todo list.
Did you notice that the PTF cover letters with that CVE all say:

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS :
----------------------

No special actions are necessary if this PTF is applied or removed
during the next unattended IPL (delay mode).

All Java 80 32bit jobs need to be stopped before this PTF can be
applied or removed immediately. Use the WRKJVMJOB to check all the jobs
currently running Java 80 32 bit.

If anyone is running TrustedLink EDI and using the IP Exchange for
OpenText VAN communications...

I installed the PTFs listed in this bulletin (along with SJ06428 and
SJ06909 which were on my system) on Wednesday. Immediately after
installing, we could no longer send/receive documents with our VAN
connection (AS2 and others were fine).

I had to un-apply the PTFs and restart the IP Exchange "Integration Sever".

I have not yet identified the specific PTF. It is possible that simply
restarting the Integration Server would have solved he issue.
