Filezilla is the way.

I don't know why the IFS transfer it slow in ACS, but it's not super-speedy.

My ACS is fairly up to date. I am running 1.1.9.7.

I tried the filter like you mentioned, and it works a lot faster. I'll keep that in mind for the next time.
