First off, are you running a current version of ACS?
IBM made big improvements back in 1.1.8.5

Possibly, you can change the Java heap size to help...
https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/ibm-i-acs-memory-usage

Though I can see 100k files in seconds without adjusting memory.

Lastly, if you know what you are looking for (or not looking for) setting
the filters helps as it filters on the server side.

Charles

Other than cleaning out a folder, does anyone have any ideas/solutions for
speeding up the access to IFS folders? I am using ACS to access a folder
on our server and it has been taking literally minutes to get the complete
list of the folder contents. The folder contains daily [multiple times per
day] activity and almost all files that are normally under 100KB, however,
there are some that are larger than that [so far largest is 1150KB]. The
current count of files in this folder is 65,744 objects.

This is not our only IFS folder with this volume of objects, but it's the
one I had to access today.

Thank you,

Doug
