Yes, why use an internal combustion engine when a horse and buggy work perfectly fine to get from A to B?

Thin client is much preferable to fat client, in my (correct) opinion.

I just completed a project where they aren't even using ILE or free format
or SQL and "wouldn't allow it" because they don't want to support it.

Next time I'll just say "no" to a project like that.
