I found a while back that some versions of java and some of the IBM fonts
don't play well together. Sorry, don't remember the details but I think it
was version 21 of something. I was using Consolas and where the cursor was
sitting on the screen was not necessarily where it was typing in the field.
For example, if the field contained "VAlue 1" and I wanted to fix the A to
a, I might end up with "VAaue 1". I am currently running IBM Java version
11.0.23 with no issues. I played with a bunch of settings and found some
fixed the problem (maybe font scaling?) but then I had other issues. IBM's
response was to blame it on Java and for me to try a different version of
Java.
Sorry for the vague details. I just wanted to put this out there in case
some folks are having weird screen issues with certain fonts. There are
some fonts (IBM supplied) that do not work as expected with some WINDOWS
sizes (not the session sizes) and with some settings.
