According to this doc - it is supported (with later firmware)

but question from customer is - the ibm drive is supposedly hard to get or
cannot be ordered, but customer has Tandberg 3.0 RDX (which they say is the
manufacturer of IBM's) and working well on a Power 9. I've often avoided
non IBM primary save device, but anyone have experience (good or bad) with
Tandberg's RDX.? This is a tiny system with minimum backup needs and has
been on RDX for years.
