Is there a simple set of instructions or article for a simple Win/Linux application to use ODBC to connect to IBM i. They are stuck on thinking they had to download DB2 for their server...and the licensing of things like DB2 Connect. This is a simple app to retrieve some data and merge into Word or PDF docs...
Having never been on the Win side, not familiar with setup. They do most of their work in SQL Server and MongoDB.
