I will argue that with a GA of 4/2014 V7R2 fits into the “Ages Old” category. While you and I Vern are on the “Seasoned Citizen” end of our tenure, V7R2 has aged out.

As to IBM not touching CPF, that’s not quite true either, they continue to update and inovate constantly. We just now call it IBM i instead of CPF (control program facility).

Hi Patrik

These commands are not "ages" old - they first appeared in 7.2, which was 2014.

Glad to help a little, Gad. I wish that IBM was more specific in the help text - the word "archive" is too vague, in my opinion - there are so many different archive formats.

I believe the help text hasn't been touched in ages. When it was current, there was probably not much more recognized than pkzip.

I'm not surprised. IBM seems to avoid touching CPF as far as possible.
