Secure Copy Protocol

Mainly a unix creation but useful in IBM i. It runs over SSH.

See: How to Securely Copy Files in Linux | scp Command - GeeksforGeeks
<https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/scp-command-in-linux-with-examples/> for a
UNIX example but if you have the open source stuff loaded it's there.
Might also be in the base as well but I've not used that one.

Subject: ACS IFS upload facility

Hello,

It's about time I got to the bottom of this. I'm in France and the only way
I can get a file from my PC to the IFS is with the IFS navigator open and
then uploading my file. I can't get the data transfer facility to work
because I don't understand it. Why would I need a file description file in
order to create a new file from a CSV file? How can I create one when the
file does not exist on the i?
Back to the IFS upload facility, there my problem is that characters with
French accents are wrong in the resulting IFS file. I suspect that the
CCSID is the problem. I'm seeing 850 and I think I need 1252. How do I
configure the CCSID used by the IFS upload manager? Why is it creating an
object with CCSID 850?

Thanks
