Yes and no. What I want to say is not about the number of levels, but that I can't come up with a compelling reason to just stop supporting slightly older models. Especially given my impression that technological advances in hardware aren't that huge as they were, say, two decades ago.

Now, I'm not IBM, nor do I have in-depth knowledge about hard- and software. I do write programs, but I'm not a programmer. My complaint is based on a guts-feeling and apparently I'm not alone with this guts-feeling. I'm aware that "many people believe the same" does note necessarily render a statement true, though.

Living my 52th year on this planet, I've learned over time that in hindsight, my guts-feelings surprisingly often weren't that much off from reality. ;-)
