Rob

I hear you and had wondered about that as I replied. My question comes from the job types are different between green screen sql and RSS - the former is interactive in nature, the latter is some form of batch. I might remember wrong but thought interactive tends toward *FIRSTIO and batch-like tends toward *ALLIO - I'm happy to be found wrong, of course.

A database monitor or display of last or whatever statement could help know what really happened.

I don't remember, did earlier versions of RSS go all the way to the end at the beginning?

Vern,
I understand what you are asking but I am not sure it is a valid concern.
Run SQL Scripts does not jump to the end either. They have a special icon
at the bottom right for that.

Hi Greg

When you say that green screen version shows results within seconds, do
you mean the first screen, or the entire result set? If the former, how
long does it take to go to the end in STRSQL?

I just observed the oddest thing... I have several SQL statements that
aren't terribly complex. However, they would not finish in ACS (would not
show any results and ran for almost an hour).
If I copy the same SQL statements into the green screen STRSQL, they
show results within seconds.
I ended the QZDASONIT jobs after canceling the action in ACS. I also
restarted the ACS Run SQL scripts application.
Anyone ever encounter this?
