Within ACS Settings you can enable URL's to be displayed as a Hotspot which make the link clickable and it will launch the browser and display the results.

This does require the entire URL to be on the screen.

I would like to be able to shorten / hide the full url like you can do with a href in html but I don't think that is possible.

I would prefer not to use strpco / strpccmd from past experience but have not used this in many years, however this would need to hard code the path and program to be run and that is not really possible with the choice of browsers and operating system versions.

Any suggestions or examples or links welcome.

Thanks
Don

Don,

How about using one of those utilities like tinyurl.com?

You are 100% correct. If the string doesn't fit, you're doomed. Href can't work, because the plain URL string is interpreted solely by the client. No HTML involved.

Any suggestions or examples or links welcome.

Alan posted a suggestion. Personally, I'd refuse from giving possible internal URLs to an external entity, for data protection. I bet there are existing opensource solutions for a self-hosted equivalent to tinyurl.com. Your mileage may vary.
