Ghostscript is not limited to PostScript - it can do many different conversion types.
Ghostscript cannot process PCL *input*, only PostScript and PDF, which can be seen as PostScript "dialect". It can convert *to* many formats, though.
OP was asking: Is there a way to convert a *USERASCII spooled file (containing PCL) into a PDF file in the IFS?
GhostScript is useless for this purpose.
