Huge (security hole)? Why that?
Maybe an exaggeration, but when Password is *NONE I know that user can't use SSH, FTP or Netserver to access the system.
Is Kerberos/EIM implemented with password(*none) so unpopular that this situation has not been noticed until now?
The SYSTOOLS.GENERATE_SPREADSHEET function was apparently introduced or enhanced with IBM i 7.5 TR3 and 7.4 TR9 about a year ago.
Does Kerberos/EIM implemented with password(*none) work when doing work on the system console when the system is in restricted state?
No, users with console access do have passwords.
I do intend to create an RFE, I was just wondering how many this behavior affected and if there was a better solution than giving passwords to users who did not need them.
