Hello Rob,

Or OV/400 stuff (which I hope most people removed LONG ago)..
Nope. :-)
But then, I'm at a considerable *BACKLVL ;-)
FYI, OV/400 is alleged to not be compatible with V5 onwards. My guess is
that this is due the required changes being pointed out by Leif Svalgaard,
and of course by IBM wanted to force people into using Notes.
Whether or not the commands which use that stuff will be removed remainsto be seen.
Leaving them dangling around with no "attached" functionality feels like a
forced inconsistency. If stuff is removed, then please wholesome.
Often, leaving obsolete stuff can really come to bite you in the butt. For
example, leaving something from 4.5 on your system
… should have dropped on your toe much earlier. :-)
I have no first hand experience with system upgrades, only fresh installs.
I'm also aware that not each and all 3rd party products register itself as
LPP to be handled by the *LICPGM commands.
On the other hand, I guess well-behaved software will be tucked away in
it's own set of libraries. => delete. What else? Check wrkjobscde,
qstruppgm, registered exit programs, user profiles. I guess that's it,
mostly. One can look at qgpl and qusrsrc for objects not starting with the
letter q, but I'm not too confident that "q means comes from IBM" has been
adhered to in general.
:wq! PoC
