Rob

a. There is no journal specified in STRJRNLIB for this library
but still, tables mytable and myhist were journaled to QSQJRN upon
creation.
DDS created files in this library are not automatically journaled to
any journal
(QSQJRN or any other)
b. I added two ENDJRNPFs per you suggestion and ended up with this script:
create mytable
creat myhist...
endjrnpf mytable
endjrnpf myhist...
strjrnpf mytable newjournal...
strjrnpf myhist...
alter table mytable add versioning ..

THANKS
Gad

I believe the default journal is set in the CREATE SCHEMA. See also
STRJRNLIB
A journal and journal receiver: A journal QSQJRN and journal receiver
QSQJRN0001 is created in the schema, and is used to record changes to all
tables subsequently created in the schema.

To update or delete data from a versioned system-period temporal table,
both the temporal table and its history file must be journaled.

You might have to do it in this order:
alter table mytable drop versioning
endjrnpf mytable
endjrnpf myhist...
strjrnpf mytable newjournal...
strjrnpf myhist...
alter table mytable add versioning ...

Hello guys

While creating a temporal table with versioning recently,
I've noticed that the table was automatically journaled to QSQJRN
JRN.

Can I set a specific journal of my choosing?

TIA
