Hello Javier,

The elegance of a BIF would prevent you from writing the extra code.

True.

I already use a variable that's 2048 bytes long initialized with all blanks, and then take a substring of it to concatenate the main string with the blanks that I need. I also use a similar variable filled with stars and tabs, and I do the same.

This sounds like you're putting together dynamic strings for a report with O specs. :-) Not sure if you'd be better off using printer files?

Wouldn't it be useful if a BIF gives you that?

I can't see a use case. But this is just me. :-)

:wq! PoC
