Hardware withdrawal: IBM Power 9 Activation features

Effective 31 December 2024, IBM® will withdraw from marketing the following
features:
Processor Activation
Memory Activation

https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/announcements/activation-features-withdrawal-selected-p9-models

I'm afraid that my understanding of IBM marketing language isn't what it used to be. I don't understand the practical impact of this announcement.

I have a 9009-41A. It has one CPU already activated. Is it correct that this CPU will stay activated as long as we own the machine? But if I have a disaster, I won't be able to activate a CPU on a replacement P9?

Context: My organisation has declared End Of Life for the IBM platform, so I only need to keep it going until it is replaced.
