There is so much FUD around this, understandably - the announcement says
that there will no longer be support. It also says several items will be
withdrawn from marketing. I admit that the terminology is not completely
clear to me, either.
Nothing is said at this time about removing anything from the system. I
can maybe see a scenario where you get a new machine, and you would have to
restore these from a save on the older side. We have no statement from IBM
on that kind of thing.
We are kind of the blind leading the blind on the future, eh? :)
